In the novel, Dr. Cussler doesn't really
describe the director of the CIA., Warren Nicholson. In the film, you see
very little of this character. Paul Carr, a wonderful character actor,
portrays a character that should have been developed allot more.

the press kit that was released to the press before the film initial
release.
PAUL CARR is cast as Nicholson, an atypical
C.I.A. operative. Most recently, he appeared in the television
mini-series "Scruples," and in "The Story of Esther" episode of
"Greatest Stories From The Bible." He also has appeared on the
stage with Lana Turner in the touring company of "Bell, Book and
Candle."
Biography-Best known for his
portrayal of Lee Kelso in the Star Trek Episode "Where No Man Has Gone
Before", Paul Carr was born in New Orleans and raised both in New Orleans
and in New York City. He began his acting career at the young age of 17.
After performing for various theatrical productions in New Orleans, Paul
would eventually move to New York City and study acting at the American
Theatre Wing to help sharpen his skills as an actor. For the next six
years, Paul would work in summer stock, Broadway plays and live
television. In 1957, Paul made his screen debut as the young man in Alfred
Hitchcock's 'The Wrong Man'. The same year he played the lead in
'Jamboree'. After that, his career took off and he found him self on
television, film & the stage. Paul presently
lives in Los Angeles, and is writing a novel.
