LORD GRADE is a name known to television audiences throughout the
world because of his extraordinary productions, "Jesus Of Nazareth," "Long
Day's Journey Into Night," "Space: 1999," "Moses, The Lawgiver," "Will
Shakespeare," "The Royal Victorians" and "The Muppet Show." The
familiar "Lew Grade Presents" also has introduced such outstanding films
as "The Boys From Brazil," Ingmar Bergman's "autumn Sonata," "Capricorn
One," "Movie, Movie" and "The Muppet Movie." Lord Grade also
produced with Martin Starger and the Shubert Organization the stage hit
"Sly Fox," starring George C. Scott.
Lew Grade
began his show business career touring England and the continent as "The
World's Greatest Charleston Dancer," In 1933, he founded a talent
agency which became an important international agency representing top
American stars. In 1969 he was knighted, and in 1976 was given a
Life Peerage and the title of Lord Grade.
