On Location Magazine-This is the
August 1980 issue. In it is an article on
the making of the movie "Raise The Titanic". The article documents the incredible three
and one-half year shooting and post-production schedule that
required filming in the US including Alaska, England, Greece, San
Diego, Washington, D.C. and in
the special deep tank on the island of Malta. Thanks
goes to George O'Dell of Wethersfield, CT. The whole article
is excerpted from the August 1980 issue.
International Photographer-This is the
October 1980 issue. I had placed a bid for
this magazine on e-bay but didn't win it at the end. So I sent
an e-mail to the seller and asked him if it was alright if he could
copy the front cover and the article itself about the film so I
could post it here on the site. I can't say how much I
appreciate what he did. Thanks goes to Steven Powers of
Aberdeen, WA. The whole article is excerpted from the October
1980 issue. *NOTE*
This article was taken out of the official Press Kit. The
first part of the article that came from the press kit was titled

The Production Notes came out of the Press Kit also titled, "About

The
Last of a Kind: The Sinking of Lew Grade-"
Last of Kind" is a superb book that follows the history of one of England’s famous movie
moguls, Lord Lew Grade. Throughout his career, he has given British television some of the most enjoyable and never to be forgotten films and
program. This is one of the chapters from the book that focus’s on the movie “Raise The Titanic!”, a film that many British people feel
“nearly ended the British film industry”. What you are about to read is not the full chapter, and a few words changed, but a smaller version.
None the less, very interesting. Thanks goes to John Smith. (Added 1-29-2003)
