Who would have like to have seen the beginning of the film start off before the Titanic sank and see Bigalow’s narrow escape? Or to see what Joshua Hayes Brewster was really like? Or how about the secret Russian Spies and their devious attempt in sabotaging the salvage operation. Hurricane Amanda and her pounding waves on the Titanic? The defeat of the Russian commandoes by the U.S. Navy SEAL’s?

     Since 1980, Dirk Pitt fans have felt cheated out since the release of “Raise The Titanic!”. No re-make of the film was ever done because of the discovery of the actual wreck in 1985. We believe that common sense should be cast aside and that the film should be re-done the way Dr. Cussler had envisioned. We the fans are asking for Dr. Cussler, Crusader Entertainment, and Paramount Pictures to look at this petition and to consider the fact that again, we the fans, would like to see one of Dr. Cussler’s best pieces of work to be re-done and to be re-done right.

     There's so much that was never shot and never used. If Hollywood doesn't think it should not be done because of the knowledge of the wreck’s actual condition, couldn't they just put common sense aside and re-do the film anyway for the fan’s sake?

Signing this petition means that you believe Raise The Titanic needs to be re-done just for the fans, and to go and see the film one or more times. The numbers on this petition should show Dr. Cussler, Crusader Entertainment and Paramount Pictures and anyone with the influence to make a Fans' Edition happen that this would not only be profitable, but would thank so many fans who have been loyal to Dr. Cussler’s novels.
