*NOTE* Minor updates are not listed here. The entire site is continually updated.

8-29-2004  This month is dedicated to the fans who have put forth the effort to show their talent and passion for Dr. Cussler's novel.  Thanks to all of them for allowing me to show their work for all of you to see and enjoy.  I hope you like them as much as I do.

7-11-2004  As you'll see over the rest of the year, there will be little many updates over the months.  There might be between 1-4 updates over a given month.  My schedule now has me scraping for time to get the updates done so I'm going at it with let's see attitude.  Once I get a clear visual as to how things will go, than this will be norm until further notice.

7-07-2004  If anyone had noticed, the last 4 days of June caused a panic.  I ran out of bandwidth for the first time ever.  The main reason is because of the popularity of the Sahara Section.  I talked to my host provider and they have recommended that I keep a close eye on it this month.  If I exceed more than half of my bandwidth by the middle of the month, than I'm going to have to purchase some additional bandwidth.

I had thought about making a part of the site a members only section for paid subscribers.  But after thinking about for nearly a second, I decided that it would be a stupid idea.  I want to keep this free for everyone.  That was the main purpose from the beginning.

But I am going to get back up on my soap box and ask for donations once again.  This is the only way I can keep this site up.  All I ask is a few bucks from each of you.  If only a small number would pull forth the effort, I think that it would help out tremendously.

Not only would you help support the cost and maintenance of the site but you would also help me out financially in retrieving new material to have posted on the site.  Whether it's research or maybe some long lost behind-the-scenes photos or video clips, you're helping to keep this site up and allowing me to digitally archive anything related to this film for you and others to view.

6-29-2004  This past month has been rather crazy.  I just started a new job and I really haven't had much time to post as much new material like I used to even though I have allot to share.  And for that I do apologize.  But I can say that I have been working on a whole new re-design for the site with a colleague here in Chillicothe and that I will try and do better in July.

On a more personal note, I would like to give my condolences to the Reagan family for their loss of possibly one of the best presidents that this country has ever had.  I had the honor to have attended his 1981 inauguration.  It was a present by my father for my 10th birthday.  I'll post more on his memorial page once it's done.

  • The IMDB Reviews Page has been updated with some new reviews about the film.

5-29-2004  Happy Memorial Day Everyone!!

  • The Last Great Human Adventure, a 23 minute documentary, is now up on the Video Clips Page.  It is formatted in 56K and 300K with a choice of either Windows Media Player and Real Media Player.  Thanks to Robert Gibbons.

4-30-2004  A day late but it couldn't be helped; I was out of town.  On a personal note I would like to give my condolences to the Tillman family for the death of Pat Tillman.  A courageous man who gave up the life of the NFL to join the Rangers to fight for our country against the evil Taliban.  His memory shall never be forgotten.

  • A new photo gallery of various photos of the Titanic Model are now up in the Photo Gallery Section.
  • The Model Trivia Page has been updated.  Thanks goes to John Smith.

3-29-2004

  • The Goofs Page has been updated.
  • As promised, the majority of photos (47) from the late set designer, Mickey S. Michaels' scrapbook are now up on the site.  The photos are in Flash format.  Thanks goes to Rozane Sutherland, John Smith, to the late Mickey S. Michaels and his widow, Barbara.
  • One new poster has been added to the Poster Gallery Page.  Thanks once again to Paul De Blieck from the Drew Movie Poster Page and Drew Stranzin.
  • The Video Covers Photo Gallery has been converted to Flash Format.
  • Once again, the Major Contributors Page has been updated.

2-29-2004  There are not really any updates for this month.  I am working on several updates that will be posted later on in the year that I have not completed.  Plus there has been so much material coming in over the last several months that will take some time to categorize and sort out.  Be assured that this will all be posted in future update.  But I am shuffling the material that is already up into a more organized system.

1-19-2004  Ok, now for the first update of the new year!  I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season.  And again I do want to apologize to everyone for the inconvenience with the site back a few weeks ago.

  • Six new video clips from the film have been added on the Video Clips Page.
  • Last years news has been archived.
  • I hope to have the guestbook and the message board back up in the next few days.

Actually, there was a few more updates that I had planned on adding but due to some time restraints, they will be added in the future.

Allot of material has been donated and you will see them in the months to follow when I have more time to process and categorized them.  Here is what you will see this coming year.

  • Five new drafts of the script have been discovered and I am in the process of acquiring them.
  • John will be doing a follow-up of the movie model with a new model based from Dr. Cussler's novel.
  • Tons, and I mean tons of newspaper article reviews of the film will be added in the coming months.  Possibly 5 or 6 each month.
  • New articles from various newspapers and trade magazines during the production of the film.
  • Once the scripts are acquired, than I will be working on the Virtual Movie Storybook with screen captures from the film.
  • Two new sections could possibly be added this year that will compare the novel with the movie and what went wrong with the film adaptation.   The other section will have a break down about how the film could be re-done if it were to go into production today and what actors could portray our beloved characters.

1-11-2004  The site is officially back up.  As you can tell, the site had been down for the past few days.  I had transferred to a new hosting company and the transition had not gone as smooth as I had thought.  And for that, I do apologize.

Here's what happened; Once I had signed up with my new hosting company, I was sent an automated e-mail with the new DNS (Domain Name Servers) to give my domain register to point the domain name to.  I figured, that I would do that once I backed up the entire site from the previous servers that had the site, upload them to the new servers, than delete my old account and than register the new DNS servers with register.com.

What I didn't know, was that I couldn't upload my files until I had registered the new DNS servers and that took 24-72 hours.  And I had already closed my Yahoo! account.  I couldn't upload my files through my FTP server and the only way I could upload any of the files was to use my new control panel and upload 1 file at a time.  Easier said than done; I have 6,757 files and 750 folders.  That wasn't going to fly.  And that's why I made that temporary page to let everyone know that I wasn't shutting the site down.

1-09-2004  As you can tell, the site has been down for the past couple of days.  I have transferred to a new hosting company and the transition has not gone as smooth as I had thought.  And for that, I do apologize.  I hope to have the problem worked about by the middle of this coming week.  I want to assure you that Raise the Titanic.com is NOT shutting down.  I appreciate everyone's time and support and I will see you all soon.

1-1-2004 Happy New Year Everyone!!
