12-25-2003 Merry Christmas Everyone!!

12-22-2003 Happy Holidays everyone!  This will be the last update for the year.  I want to thank everyone who has contributed to this site for this year and looking forward to 2004.  Thanks Everyone!

11-29-2003  Since I'm back in school, there aren't many updates for this month.  Finals are next week so December's updates will have more.  I apologize for the inconvenience.

  • If you want to have your own VHS copy of "Raise the Titanic!", well than here's your chance.  The Bravo channel will have the film on Thursday December 15  & 17.
  • The novel, Raise the Titanic!, comes back in a new publication in February 2004.  And that means a new cover.  It's on the Covers Page in the Novel Section.
  • A new review, in the Movie Section, has been posted off of the IMDB.

10-29-2003

  • A new review from the IMDB has been posted in the Reviews Section.
  • A piece of trivia has been added on the Miscellaneous Page.  Thanks goes to John.
  • New fan art is up.  Thanks goes to Mark Maggard for his creative input.
  • Once again, the Major Contributors Page has been updated.

10-2-2003  I would like to apologize to everyone for not updating the site has indicated on the Home Page.  Let me explain what had happened.  Back in the middle of August, my laptop, which I had for 4 years, finally bit the bullet.  With hardly any money to purchase a new computer-even a cheap one-I finally decided to re-evaluate my life.  With the back problems that I had for the last month and half and at one time, a life threatening condition that the doctors (cancer) thought I had......Errr...let me explain in further detail what has transpired over the 2 months.

Back in early August, I threw out my back as I was helping a friend paint his garage. My chiropractor told me that I have 2 degenerative disks that have fused together from an accident that I had 8-9 years ago. So, for the next 6 weeks, I was laying on hard surfaces and applying ice to help reduce the swelling.  And I'm only allowed to sit up for only a half an hour at a time. He also said that if doesn't get any better than I might need surgery to correct the problem (and to get rid of the darn pain). But that's not all folks, about a week later, I had another Doctor's appointment (a pulmonary specialist) to have a biopsy done on my chest in my lower right part of my lung. I had bacterial pneumonia back in 2000 that had almost took my life. Since than, I have had one nasty cough that just will not go away. So the my regular doctor wanted to check and see if it's scar tissue or some kind of cancerous tumor. I was praying that it just scar tissue. All of this had dampered the free time that I usually have to work on my site. It also prevented me to go out and find a new employer. And because of that, those last few months had been really rough.

Now my back is doing great! I went to a massage therapist a few times over the last couple of weeks and I'm also seeing a chiropractor. When my back first went out, I was seeing the chiropractor about 3 times a week. He recommended that I also see a massage therapist. Well after a few of those, my back started to get allot better. I no longer feel as much pain as I used to that usually shot up right through my right leg. It's still there but not enough to make a big deal about.

As for my lung problem.....

I went and seen a pulmonary specialist at OSU Medical Center that my cousin highly recommended (He's a Dr. too).  During  The first appointment, he did a thorough physical examination and had some blood work done. The second appointment I had x-rays done on my chest. He concluded that it was scar tissue and that I have no missing links in my immune system and that what caused my 2 bouts of pneumonia was...get this....HEARTBURN! He said that my eating habits (all bad) and eating late night snacks are the problem. I can't really explain like he did but in the short short version, heartburn-Acid Reflux-was my problem. I just have to re-adjust my eating habits.

In between those appointments, when I wasn't sure what the results would be, I re-examined my life and I made a few decisions.

First, since I realize how much I enjoy working on websites, and you need a degree to work in that field, I decided to finish what I started (back in 90). I'm going back to school to get my degree. I enrolled at Kaplan University. I'm attending all of my classes online and I'm getting my Associates degree in "Associate of Applied Science in Computer Information Systems". In other words I'll be a certified Web Designer. I'll be able to work and design websites for corporations and/or a small businesses. It's a 2 year program and I should graduate sometime around June of 2005. First day of class is October 6.

Second, I decided to get back into shape and stay away from all of those fatty foods. I weighed myself last week and saw a number that I've never seen before...I'm right now 40lbs over weight! I used to wear a 30-32 in jeans. Now it's a 34-36!!! Enough is enough...UGH.

Again, thanks everyone for your thoughts and prayers.  I will have new updates for the RTT section at the end of October.  As for the Sahara section, they have already been posted.

9-11-2002

  • In Remembrance of the victims & the heroes of 9-11, please take the time to reflect back to their sacrifice and their heroism.

8-29-2003  Not much has been added this month.  I have been incapacitated over the last few weeks.  I threw out my back not to long ago and Doctor's orders are for me to lay on a hard surface until further notice.  I can only sit up for maybe a half an hour a day.  Doesn't give me much time to do as much work as I'm used to doing.  I apologize for the lack of effort on my part.  Keep me in your prayers.  Not only do I have a degenetive disk that might need surgery, I also have a biopsy on my chest next week.  I'll keep you all posted.

  • A new link has been added.  Thanks goes to Nick, the webmaster of the '80s Movies Rewind for the reciprocal link.
  • John has posted a review on the Regional 2 UK DVD.
  • John has also sent me photos of the cover, the chapter sleeve and the disk itself.

7-29-2003  This update comes on a sad note.  My condolences go to Bob Hope's friends & family.  An American icon that not only entertained us on the screen and on the links but was also a soldier to our troops over seas during the times of war. He helped  pioneer a cross-over with sports & entertainment. Thanks Bob for the memories.  You shall be truly missed.

  • Effective today, all news regarding Sahara will be posted on the What's New Page in the Sahara Section.  You will no longer be able to find out of any new news from this page.  The Sahara section is a mirror site of the RTT section of the site.  That will continue to happen when one of the Dr. novels comes into the movie phase.  Hopefully we will be able to say the same thing of a possible remake of "Raise the Titanic!".

First I would like to give allot of thanks to Robert Gibbons.  About a week ago, Robert sent me the Official Press Kit that was given to the press before its initial release on August 1, 1980.  I can't say how much I appreciate the generous contribution.  What he has done is something that I hope someday I can repay him for.  But for right now, I can only give him my heart felt thanks, appreciation and gratitude.

And because of his generosity, I now have some new pages posted and some other pages updated.  I really didn't get a chance to get it all done for this month's update.  The rest will be posted on May 29.
