At the end of the novel and the movie that followed, the Titanic is last seen in dry dock. What happens to the Titanic after it is salvaged?  Is it scrapped?  Or does it stay in New York and become a museum like the Queens Mary in San Diego, CA?

If the film were to be redone, what would be different compared to the first film in 1980?  What would you have done differently?  Would you have it follow close to the novel that Dr. Cussler had written?  Or would you go at it at a different angle?  How about the wreck itself?  Would you allow the Titanic itself be found as it was actually discovered by Dr. Robert Ballard  in 1985 or would you let your imagination take hold and allow it to be found as it was in the book or like it was found in the movie?

What about the Titanic, itself?  What did you have pictured the Titanic looking like before she was discovered in 1985?  Did you imagine her in one piece like Ken Marschall and Dr. Robert Ballard did before she was found?  If you are an artist and would like to share your artistic view of her in your own imagination feel free to send them to this site and let other's critic them on the Message Board.

Do you like building models?  Have you ever done a model of the Titanic?  There is already a website that is dedicated to the art of building the perfect Titanic model.  From what she looked like before the sinking to her actual aftermath on the bottom of the North Atlantic.  Why not have one made from the film itself?  Over the next 4-6 months this section will cover a step-by-step guide on how to build your own Titanic model as it was in the film, "Raise The Titanic!"  Again, thanks goes to John Smith from England.  He will give you detailed instructions , with photos, on how to get started with your own kit.  At the bottom, is an example of his work.  This particular model was not finished at the time these photos were taken.  The one he will help you build will be a more highly detailed model at 1/350th scale.  He will tell you what particular kit to buy and what items to purchase before you start.  I hope you will stay tuned for these next few exciting months to come.
