In Remembrance Of My Brother.....

David Michael-Joshua Waters
Sept 1, 1975-Aug 29, 1999
One year has passed since you arrived back home from your Carnival Cruise audio engineering job and adventure in the Caribbean . . . serving on the ship called 'Paradise'. Arriving at the Columbus airport and mysteriously leaving your job early - you said, "Dad, God told me to come home early . . . I had to come home." We didn't understand, but later we could. No matter we were thrilled to see you. No explanations were needed. You looked so healthy and handsome. You were optimistic and renewed . . . Ready and energized in your faith . . . Ready to get back in the recording studio with Dad and to work with me in our new e-commerce business.
Back home, you went to your 5 year class reunion sharing with others fun, friendship and encouragement . . . and your heartfelt faith in Christ. You were so happy to see old friends as well as classmates you hadn't known so well during the school years. We were so pleased and proud of you . . . you had radiantly bloomed into true manhood. In a few days, you would be 24 years old.
How could anyone have known that only 29 days later you would leave us.
- We didn't know your days were to be shortened
- We didn't know you were seriously sick with an aneurysm
- We didn't know the Friday night you fell asleep in Dad's chair that you would drift into a coma . . . never to open your eyes again in this life . . . we thought you were resting and recovering from a headache.
How could we ever imagine our sweet prince and beloved son and brother would be taken from this life so early. Your heart was unblemished with pride, selfishness, and sensitivity . . . your smile, your laughter, your sense of humor are still in our hearts. Your authentic Christian life was evident to all . . . that you were a living badge of God's love and grace. You are a treasure to all who took time to know you. You are forever loved and remembered always in the hearts and minds of those you touched and loved.
- Though we don't know why you died so young
- We do know you are in Heaven with your Lord & Savior Jesus Christ
- And because Christ lives, you Live . . .
- This we do know
We miss you . . . We'll Love you Always-
Mom, Dad, Gabe, Scott, Grandma, Relatives and Friends
Our temporary sorrows will soon be overwhelmed by unimaginable joy when we see you face to face at the Resurrection . . . when Christ says to those who believe "Come Forth"
